Dr. Mathes served for almost 20 years as a pilot in the U.S. Marines. He enjoys distance and endurance running in his free time. Dr. Mathes specializes in surgery focused on emergency soft tissue, orthopedics (TPLO, fracture repairs, etc) and complex laceration repairs.

BS in Aeronautical Technology from Ohio University. Doctor Veterinary Medicine, Ohio State University.

Prior to working at COVE, Dr. Mathes worked in general practice with a focus on advanced oral surgery.
